Middleton Mart Christmas Fair has ran for 12 years now, and from the outset, we held the view of encouraging and promoting a healthy marketplace.
The cost for a ‘pen’ has always been kept deliberately low to encourage small local, new, and start-up businesses to come along creating a strong, healthy market. With that in mind, we have never limited or ‘selected’ stalls via an application process;
any business that would like to come along is welcome to do so. What we do to mitigate, is take time to place similar businesses evenly throughout the venue.
The fair is held on the same day as the Village Christmas Lights Switch On and as always we are encouraging buyers to park at the mart for the Christmas Fair before walking up into the village. The light switch-on is a popular, well-attended event.
