Both introductory and intermediate courses provide the opportunity for trainees to learn more about the traditional craft of hedge laying from Burt Hunter, a highly experienced hedge layer who is passionate about sharing his skills with others.
The two day introduction course is ideal for those who are new to hedge laying and are keen to learn about this traditional craft and gain some initial experience.
Those who are interested in gaining a greater knowledge, can then progress onto the intermediate level of hedge laying which is delivered over a further two days. This course includes:

- The basic technique of hedge laying and health and safety implications
- An introduction to the tools used and a practical session sharpening tools and the stakes required for supporting a laid hedge
